Virtue RF Microneedling Lifting for Firmness and Jawline

How Virtue RF lifting uses microneedle radiofrequency to support dermal collagen renewal, what the session looks like, and how it is applied to the double chin and jawline.

If your facial contour no longer looks the way it used to when you catch yourself in the mirror, the reason usually lies in declining collagen in the dermis. Here we have put together how Virtue RF lifting, which stimulates the dermis with radiofrequency energy to support collagen renewal, actually works, what a session involves, and how it is applied to the double chin and jawline.

Why firmness declines

As the years accumulate, collagen in the dermis gradually decreases and the tissue supporting the skin loosens. Fine lines increase, the cheeks and the area around the jaw drift downward, and the outline of the face becomes less defined. This is the stage at which many people start looking into lifting procedures.

What kind of procedure is Virtue RF

Virtue RF is a microneedle radiofrequency device that delivers RF energy directly into the dermis through fine needles. As the thermal energy coagulates dermal tissue, collagen production is induced during the recovery process, and this can lead to improvement in skin firmness and texture. A cooling system that limits damage to the epidermis, together with short pulses measured in units of 1,000 microseconds, is what allows it to reduce the discomfort associated with earlier microneedle RF devices.

Beyond ordinary radiofrequency tightening, Virtue RF differs in that its DEEP handpiece can reach the fat tissue beneath the skin. Applied to an area where volume has descended, such as a double chin, it can therefore be considered for tidying the contour as well, what is commonly called jawline definition. The degree of response, of course, varies from person to person.

Diagnosis comes before treatment

However good a device may be, it means little if it does not match the state of your skin.

At SKINIQUE Clinic, every procedure begins with a one-to-one consultation with the medical team to confirm whether it is an appropriate choice for the skin concern you want to address.

The sequence below is based on the case of a patient who, after consultation, chose Virtue RF with the aim of addressing overall facial firmness and the double chin line together.

How the session proceeds

image

The first step is applying numbing cream. Virtue RF already reduces discomfort through cooling and its refined pulse method, and numbing cream on top of that lowers the sensation during the session further.

The DEEP RF handpiece is used for the treatment itself. Thirty-six fine needles are arranged beneath a cooling plate that protects the surface, so with each shot the needles reach the dermis and distribute radiofrequency energy evenly. The heat delivered this way stimulates tissue renewal and collagen synthesis, which is the core of the procedure.

The treatment area is set either as the full face or centred on the lower face and double chin. Either way, enough shots are delivered without gaps, aiming for tightening and contour definition together.

After the session

The treated area may look slightly red immediately afterwards, but once it has been calmed with a soothing modelling pack, most people go home without much disruption to daily life. Recovery speed and the degree of redness can differ from person to person.

Wrapping up

Virtue RF lifting induces dermal collagen renewal with microneedle radiofrequency and, through the DEEP handpiece, also reaches fat tissue, addressing firmness and contour in a single session. Because it is designed to reduce pain and downtime, it may be worth considering even for those who found microneedle RF daunting in the past.
