Xeomin Botox for Forehead, Glabella, Eye Area and Chin

Xeomin lowers concerns about resistance, but it is the injection angle and point design for each area that shapes the result.

Table of Contents

The expression lines that form on the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes are among the areas most commonly treated with Botox, yet even lines that share a name differ in muscle movement and depth from person to person. This article introduces what kind of product Xeomin is, and what Skinique Clinic does differently when treating the forehead, glabella, eye area and chin.

Choosing Xeomin

Xeomin is a botulinum toxin from the German company Merz, purified by removing the complexing proteins that surround the toxin protein. For this reason it is known as a formulation that lowers concerns about antibody formation, or resistance, with repeated treatment. Just as important as the choice of product, though, is the process of reading the muscles in each area and designing the injection points and dosage.

Why It Does Not End With a Few Injection Points

Botox is a short treatment, but quickly injecting a few fixed spots and calling it done makes it difficult to reflect the character of an individual's lines. At Skinique Clinic we first observe why each patient's lines form and how their muscles are used, then adjust the injection sites and amounts to match. The aim is to reduce the possibility of side effects while leaving facial expression natural.

The Forehead and Glabella Take Different Injection Angles

When the forehead and glabella are treated together, we inject the glabella first and finish with the forehead. What is interesting is that the injection angle differs between the two areas. Where a muscle is targeted directly, as in the glabella, the needle goes in close to perpendicular, whereas for the forehead we may choose, depending on the patient, to inject shallowly into the dermis rather than the muscle layer.

Dermal injection is a method that can reduce the likelihood of the reactions people worry about with forehead Botox, such as heavy eyelids or difficulty opening the eyes, while also allowing the skin surface to look smoother. Which approach is appropriate depends on muscle strength and the pattern of the lines, and results vary from person to person.

Genuine Product and Correct Dosage Are the Baseline

Careful injection divided across many points only carries meaning on the premise that a genuine product is used at the correct dose. Even with the same Xeomin, the result you feel can differ with the injector's design and experience, so when choosing a clinic we suggest looking first at how the treatment process is run rather than at the price list. Detailed pricing is available on the price guide.

Wrapping Up

Beyond being a purified toxin with lower concerns about resistance, Xeomin Botox is a treatment whose outcome is shaped by the process of reading the muscles in each area and designing the injection points, angles and dosage. If you are wondering which design suits your own concern among the forehead, glabella, eye area and chin, ask us through a chat consultation on the approach for your lines.
